Cancellation Policy – UPS Next Day Air Shipping
UPS Next Day Air queen orders can be cancelled (or partially cancelled) up to 12:00PM (Noon) Pacific Time on the day prior to shipment (for example: 12:00PM Monday for Tuesday shipments) without penalty. Payments for queens are 100% refundable, up to 12:00PM (Noon) Pacific Time on the day prior to shipment. To cancel an order, please contact us. Please be sure to include your order number within your contact request. All cancellation requests must be received in writing. Orders cancelled after this cancellation period will be forfeited and you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the lesser of $100 or the full amount of the order, with any remaining balance being refunded to you.
Live Arrival Guarantee
Wildflower Meadows guarantees the live arrival of your queens subject to the following terms and conditions.
Wildflower Meadows’ Live Arrival Guarantee applies only to queens that are shipped to and picked up directly from a UPS Customer Center. To take advantage of Wildflower Meadows’ Live Arrival Guarantee, you must specify your ship-to address as a UPS Customer Center, and must immediately report any dead queens within 24-hours of your queens’ arrival at the UPS Customer Center.
Below are the terms and conditions for the Live Arrival Guarantee:
- You must have your queens shipped to and picked up directly from a UPS Customer Center. If you request delivery to a location other than a UPS Customer Center, such as your home or office, the Live Arrival Guarantee does not apply.
- Because UPS Stores and other UPS Access Points are privately owned and are not the same as UPS Customer Centers, they do not qualify for the Live Arrival Guarantee.
- You must pick up your queen shipment and immediately report any dead queens within 24-hours of your queens’ arrival at the UPS Customer Center.
- The Live Arrival Guarantee applies only to queen bees, and not to attendant bees.
- To make a claim, email us a photo that includes the packaging and the dead queen(s) within 24-hours of your order’s arrival at the UPS Customer Center.
- Upon approval of your claim, Wildflower Meadows will either replace or refund your order at our discretion.
Important Information About Shipping Queen Bees During Summer Heat
The shipment of queen bees during high summer temperatures can pose potential difficulties that can jeopardize your queen bees.
In many areas of the country, temperatures rise rapidly in the morning, often above 90 degrees. As daytime temperatures rise, bees can overheat and perish in the cargo area of the UPS truck while out on delivery.
If you are experiencing high summer temperatures, we advise that you ship your queens directly to a UPS Customer Center close to you rather than to your home or business address. Your queen bees will stay inside the UPS Customer Center, and will be available for you to pick up as soon as the center opens for business. By handling your shipment in this manner, your queen bees will avoid the daytime heat, and have the safest possible journey to you, and qualify for Wildflower Meadows’ Live Arrival Guarantee.
Replacement Policy
If you do not meet the terms and conditions of the Live Arrival Guarantee, the following replacement policy applies to your order.
Wildflower Meadows ships queens via UPS Next Day Air. Neither UPS nor Wildflower Meadows insures bees, so your order will be shipped uninsured. The risk of loss is minimal, however, queens shipped via UPS are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
The proper care, handling and introduction of queens is your responsibility. Replacement of queens is at the sole discretion of Wildflower Meadows.
Instrumentally Inseminated Breeder Queens
The proper care, handling and introduction of instrumentally inseminated breeder queens is also your responsibility. Due to the high value of these queens, we advise utilizing a push-in cage and following our detailed instructions for installation.
Resale Policy
Wildflower Meadows queens are for your use only. This means that you may not sell or resell the queens that you purchase from us. We reserve the right, without notice, to cancel or reduce the quantity of any order to be filled that we believe, in our sole discretion, may result in the violation of these Terms and Conditions.
The following two exceptions are considered normal use and are not considered resale:
- You may use Wildflower Meadows queens to make nucs or bee packages that you resell to others.
- If you are a beekeeping consultant, you may provide Wildflower Meadows queens to your customers as a normal part of your consulting business.
Wrong Address Disclaimer
It is your responsibility to make sure that you enter your ship-to address correctly. If you make an error in your shipping address, please contact Wildflower Meadows immediately, so that the ship-to address can be corrected for you.
If your order has already been shipped, Wildflower Meadows reserves the right to charge the payment method originally used for costs we incur related to correcting your address and re-routing your queen shipment. If an order is refused or returned to us due to an inaccurate or incorrect address, or because it was declined or undeliverable, we reserve the right to retain the original shipping/handling fee and to charge the payment method originally used for costs we incur related to the return of the undeliverable queen shipment to us.
Weather Disclaimer
The production and delivery of your queens is subject to weather and environmental conditions that are outside of our control. We reserve the right to cancel, partially cancel, or delay your queen order in the event that weather prohibits us from producing or shipping queens. Should this happen, we would notify you, and you will be refunded the cancelled portion of your order.
